Prof Ifeanyi Uzoka is a Financial Economist and Canadian CPA with over 30 years extensive industry and academic experiences. He is passionate about facilitating learner-centered education, and curriculum development. He obtained his Bachelor’s degrees in Economics from University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria and Accounting from University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, Netherlands. He received his Master’s degree from Sheffield Hallam
University, UK and his Doctorate Studies was at University of Antwerp, Belgium.

Prior to joining Sheridan Institute of Technology in 2005, he worked in different industries across three continents. He was an Investment Banker with Trust Securities Inc where he managed the Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) of corporate clients in Nigeria amongst others.

At Proctor and Gamble Canada, he managed several brands including Febreeze. He was also an Analyst with TD Bank in the Performance, Measurement and Analysis division. In Europe, he worked with Schuitema NV in Logistics. He also consults with some major Canadian publishers.

Since joining Sheridan, he has developed curricula and taught several business courses including Corporate Finance, International Economics, International Business, Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. He has valuable experience as an Academic Adviser and is the subject-matter expert for Microeconomics at the Pilon School of Business. He facilitated Supply Chain Finance for industry executives at Lagos Business School, Lagos.

Ifeanyi is engaged in philanthropic activities that support learning and human capital development in Nigeria – free Extra Mural classes for High school students, scholarship for indigent but brilliant students, donating recent editions of international textbooks to Universities, and Secondary Schools in Nigeria. He is a recipient of 2015 University of Port Harcourt Distinguished Alumni Award.
